Before the Bollywood, ban remember when Bollywood stars would cross the border to attend cultural festivals? People recall when former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen came to Pakistani for an Urdu festival.

Back in 2014, Adnan Siddiqui posted a throwback to when Miss Universe Sushmita Sen came to an Urdu festival in Pakistan. The old photograph is making rounds online again.

“Ten years ago, Sushmita Sen visited Pakistan, Karachi to be specific, for the very first time,” Adnan wrote.

It’s been seven years since Adnan Siddiqui shared the picture of the Bollywood diva posing with Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui.

Meanwhile, it’s been 17 years since the former Miss World visited Pakistan back in 2004. The Main Hoon Na actress had been accompanied by Saif Ali Khan and Malaika Arora for performances at the festival.

 “She was here with Saif Ali Khan and Malaika Arora, accompanied by a troupe of professional Indian dancers.”

Fakhr-e-Alam’s Indus Tree had organized the event, hence why he hosted it. The performance was held at the Arabian Country Club. Adnan said that while Saif entertained the crowd by strumming his guitar. Meanwhile, Malaika busted impressive moves to popular songs with a professional Indian dance troupe.

However, Sushmita blew everyone away by reciting Urdu poetry.

“Sushmita wowed Karachi by interacting with the crowd and narrating Urdu poetry much to the delight of everyone. She was a charmer, nothing less.”
