This Animated Character is Educating Pakistanis About Coronavirus [Video]

Have you heard of this newest ‘badmaash’ in town?

COVID-19

There’s a new ‘badmaash’ (thug) in town. But this is one thug who doesn’t want to go around harassing and stealing from you. This cute cartoon character Pabo Badmaash wants to educate you against the dangers of the coronavirus.

Pabo Badmaash is a Studio Rokhan creation. The studio first created him to educate Pashtun speakers about the things they should do to protect against the COVID-19 pandemic.

After his success in Pashtu, the animated character was introduced to Urdu speakers. And now he’s back with his public service message on COVID-19 in Sindhi as ‘Pabi jo Badmaash.

The video shows Pabo Badmaash gathering people and sharing awareness about the Coronavirus behind the global pandemic. To no surprise, his ‘gang’ of admirers voice their way of fighting the virus, they want to blow it off the face of the Earth.

Pabo Badmaash may be a mobster but he resorted to using knowledge to win this fight. He then brings out a disinfectant soap as his arsenal and instructs people to wash their hands for at least twenty seconds and ensure social distancing.

He then instructs the people to spread his message and save their communities. The original message was posted in Pashto with English subtitles.

The public service message is a great idea to combat all the misinformation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Since Sindh is the second most affected province by the virus, it’s a smart move to share this message in Sindhi.

We’re guessing there might be a possibility the animated message will bee released in other regional languages.
