This Blind Pakistani Girl Delivered an Emotional Performance on Britain’s Got Talent [Video]

You have to see this to believe it.

Britain's Got Talent

A British-Pakistani teen swept the audience away at ‘Britain’s Got Talent‘. Sirine Jahangir’s singing stirred the crowd and the judges’ emotions with her voice and piano chords.

The 14-year-old girl blew everyone away with her soulful rendition of Gabrielle Aplin’s ‘My Salvation‘.

Sirine was nervous while introducing herself to the audience. She told the judges that she was visually impaired. But all those jitters went away when it came to her amazing performance.

Her confidence shone through as she revealed that ‘music is my vision‘.

“So it’s pretty obvious that I can’t see. There was a time when I could and now I can’t […] but I guess music is my vision and that’s what I live by. It’s like it’s my thing.”

Her disability didn’t stop her from playing the piano either. So not only is she a great singer, but also a dexterous piano player!

After her performance, Judge David Williams said:

“Well done Sirine. What you couldn’t see was the whole of the Palladium on their feet applauding you because they loved that.”

Meanwhile, Britain’s Got Talent judges Alisha Dixon and Amanda Holden were clearly blown away. Even Simon Cowell had nothing but nice things to say, which is saying something.

“I think I should be the first person to say yes.”

He even asked if Sirine was nervous because she thought ‘people were gonna give her bad comments and criticize her,‘. However, Sirine said she was just nervous about the opportunity she got.

“I only do school performances so this is something completely new and being able to sing right now is such a big opportunity and I don’t want to waste it.”

According to Mirror UK, Sirine does know how terrifying Simon can be and how he looks. This is because Sirine wasn’t always blind. Before the age of nine, she could see perfectly fine, despite losing her eyesight gradually since she was only five.

“I remember watching Simon on television and thinking he looked scary. It sounds like he’s quite different now, he’s definitely nicer.”

With a standing ovation from the crowd and all four judges, of course, she’s on to the next round. Now we’re rooting for her to make it through to the semi-finals and the grand finals of Britain’s Got Talent.
