We might feel like Pakistan doesn’t have a thriving underground music scene. This is partially true but then there are artists like Rabiee Ahmad that still put out independent albums. The musician and his band ‘Knaves of Elysium‘ plan to drop their debut album “The Birth of The Death” in 2020.
At this point, you’re probably wondering what kind of music can we look forward to? The man’s music influences include Adam Jones from the progressive metal band Tool. His vocal inspiration is Myles Kennedy from the American rock band Alter Bridge
Other influences include Elvis Presley and Freddie Mercury. He started off mainly influenced by western rock and metal but later discovered the esoterica of folk metal. A band named Eluvietie is his main influence in this regard.
Who is Rabiee Ahmad?
Rabiee Ahmad is a Pakistani rock and metal vocalist, rhythm guitarist, songwriter and producer. That’s not all, he’s also an electrical engineer.

The Rawalpindi native started his career in 2010. His powerful vocals and heavy guitar riffs got him dabbling in rock music. His parents were supportive of his career, provided he completes his studies. Which he successfully did and made music along the way.
So where has he been all this time? Well, that’s because he had to restart his career in 2017 with a new band ‘Knaves of Elysium‘. All his former music is gone due to issues with his former band ‘Blackened Soul‘.
Rabiee’s brother Samie-ur-Rehman is the pianist of ‘Knaves of Elysium‘. With the creation of the band, they started playing live. Now they have an album planned for 2020.
What’s Next?
Rabiee Ahmad and Knaves of Elysium have a debut album coming out “The Birth of The Death” in 2020. The album will feature 5 tracks narrating the story of death personified as an entity in it’s bid to take over the world and human existence.

He already has a second album lined-up after his “The Birth of The Death“. The follow-up album will be titled “The Death of the Birth“.
