Social media has always been a platform for people poking their noses where they don’t belong. For two 18 year olds Asad and Nimra, people started poking their nose when their wedding pictures went viral on social media. The young couple (only 18) has been on everybody’s timelines by now, from memes to serious connotations, everyone has something to say about the two.
Young Puppy Love
For anyone who has been off the internet and does not know what’s going on, here’s a quick recap.
Asad and Nimra, both 18, reside in Lahore. On a visit from Muscat (Oman) for his sister’s wedding, Asad found Nimra and it was love at first sight. He reached Nimra and asked her if she wants to get married. The girl replied in the affirmative but thought it was too early to get married. Moving back to Oman, they felt that the long-distance thing was distorting their puppy love.
Asad, in an attempt to save his relationship with Nimra, reached out to his parents and consulted with them about how to go about this whole scenario. Although his parents were bewildered at first, they agreed to ask the girl’s parents for her hand in marriage. That’s where the story of these two took a turn for the better.

But when the pictures and videos of the bride and groom started surfacing the internet, people started raising a lot of questions. Everyone has been acting like a “Phuppo” in this whole situation, to be honest.
Some were wondering if this was another case of child marriage, while others argued that it must have been a forced marriage. Most were just making memes to turn another personal matter into a joke!

Don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong
In a social-media obsessed world, it is disheartening to see that people’s hypocrisy has gotten out of hand. Whether a young couple is dating or they have “halal-ized” their relationship, it seems like the desi phuppos are never happy.
We need to understand the phrase “to live and let others live.” Nobody’s personal choices should be anyone’s business.

Good on them and a very sensible choice to make. He’s not a F**kboy that tries to use girls. He did an honorable thing that many men in the age of 30’s still can not commit to. 18 is absolutely fine as long as it is consensual and not forced. Do not forget you can be 25 and still be forced in to marriage. I don’t think aunty ji’s will have much of an issue as much as these fake liberals running around doing all sorts of haram and when someone does something halal it’s a haww haii moment for them
