This Pakistani Girl Wants to Become a World-Famous Chef

23-year-old Neha Naz is quite determined of chasing her dreams to become a well-known chef. Although living in a city where most girls are not allowed to work alongside men, Neha does not live by the usual ‘rules’.

In my family, women usually don’t go out for work and earn, but becoming a chef was my childhood dream and I am so happy today that my dream came true.

 

 

More about Neha Naz

A bright student of the Karachi Institute of Culinary Arts, she received professional experiential-based training. Thanks to the European Union and the governments of Germany and Norway under TVET Sector Support Programme, they have funded such culinary training programs by the institute.

The chef training has not only enabled me to be employed by one of Karachi’s popular restaurants, but I have also managed to grab two international awards in the field of my training.

Currently, Miss Naz is working at a famous eatery known for its Pakistani cuisines; Aao Ji Khao Ji. She’s the only female in a workforce of around twenty people.

Other than that she has also participated in international cooking competitions. She won a Gold medal in Thailand and a bronze medal in the competition that took place in Dubai.

 

 

Miss Naz is also a member of the elite Young Chefs Club of Pakistan and hopes to take her dreams the farthest she can.

Chef Neha Naz has also started a Facebook page to share her culinary experiences with the world. This is a young girl who chased her dreams by fighting stereotypical norms, and paving the way for girls everywhere in Pakistan that nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.
