A minor girl from a village in Sindh is waiting for a messiah to help her get rid of a mysterious medical condition which has left her head bent at an angle of 90 degrees.
11-year-old Afsheen Kumbar has to undergo major surgery to return to a normal condition, but her family can’t even afford three meals a day.
Afsheen hails from Tharparkar district of Sindh and has been living with this ‘perpetually twisted neck’ since childhood.
Rare Medical Condition
According to doctors, she is suffering from a medical condition called ‘torticollis’ – a form of a muscular disorder. It was the result of an accidental injury she received when she was only 8 months, while playing outside.
Since then, she feels pain while keeping her head upright. This has caused problems in eating, using the toilet, and going to school.
She stays home all the time with her mother Jameela, who runs the errands by working as a ‘domestic help’. With her annual salary of around $74 – some 11,000 rupees – she cannot even afford to think about Afsheen’s surgery.
Afhseen’s eldest brother Yaqoob, who is still unemployed, said they are worried about her future.
“We do not know what will happen to her. We are anxious that if she is left untreated, she could develop some other disease.”
He said a ‘prominent female global leader’ had offered to sponsor her surgery with ’50 percent chances of success’ sometimes ago. However, they were unable to contact her a month later.

He even married her before their father died so he would always have a “cash cow”! He has no intentions of using the money for her medical treatment…..exploitation is illegal! It is her brother but he is exploiting her…..and has been for years. None of the donations go to her medical care…..they go to his pockets…he travels…buys jewelry and nice clothes when his little brothers and sisters need clothes!
PLEASE do not donate! They have already had two international groups as well as a Pakastani politician step forward to help. They then decided that they weren’t ready for the surgery. They had been receiving donations from all over the world to help with her surgery and then the brother used it for his wedding! This poor girl is their “cash cow”. The brother/family can solicit more money/donations as long as she remains in the same condition! if she was to have surgery she would no longer serve her purpose of supporting their family! I have not idea what you just said. Who am I? I am a “bull-shit detector” and this Yaqoob is full of it! I am a humanitarian from the US who put this family in contact with another humanitarian group in Australia who were eager to bring Afsheen to their country for medical care. I also had a sponsor in the US if Australia was not able to help. But because of the brother’s lies, his failure to do any work to get us the proper documentation, he wanted us to fly to Pakistan to help them get passports!!!, demanded we send him a new iPhone, ALL of these efforts were wasted. You cannot get a medical visa to get a child out of Pakistan to another country if the surgery can be done in Pakistan. The brother said it could not be done in Pakistan but I have communicated with the surgeons and they clearly confirmed they never told the family that; the brother lied. The surgeons were eager and willing to help Afsheen IN Pakistan and were hurt when the family began telling everyone nothing could be done in Pakistan.
One doctor even ordered a special neck brace with his own money from the US but the family never brought the girl back to the hospital! What I do know is that I have personally been in contact with the neurosurgeons in Karachi and they gave me their story. Their story is exactly what I am sharing; I have made NOTHING up! Do you know how widespread Afsheen’s story and face are on the internet? Google her name….then come back here and tell me he is not exploiting his sister! This is child exploitation and it is ILLEGAL! He has been collecting donations for over two years yet she has not had any medical care nor does he use any of the donations to purchase the nutrition supplements that the surgeons wrote prescriptions for. Because we were concerned she wasn’t getting these supplements we purchased them online and sent them to their home. I have tracked all the packages we have sent and only one of them arrived at their destination which was Afsheen’s body! (You can tell she is very undernourished and iron deficient)! We have even sent educational material to the family so she could be tutored at home! The brother should be tutoring both her and the other kids if he is with them all day. Not happening…so what do they do productively all day? He has over 20+ social media profiles and sits at the computer all day managing them and the donations they bring right to his grubby hands. He said he quit his job to take Afsheen to her medical appts, then he changes his story saying that she has had no medical appointments since the father died. Where is her mother? Yaqoob tried to sneak a photo in of a lady combing Afsheen’s hair…..unless her mother lost 50 pounds that is NOT her mother. She has the wrist bracelets on as well and her mother is now a widow….they do not wear them! Now WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HELP THIS GIRL? I will bet that you are his 21st social media profile….people aren’t as stupid as you think they are! The brother has even made up two more identities on this post alone, pretending to be someone else that knows them. He has no friends because they all know what his is doing to his poor sister! We have been in contact with the Mithi police and they have a jail cell waiting for Yahoob with a HUGE boyfriend waiting for him!!

Why does this girl’s neck bend to the left and sometimes to the right? This has been questioned numerous times on Instagram. Something isnt right with her story
I am pretty sure the brother manipulates her photos….and sometimes he doesn’t even realize he has flipped her image, making her neck bend the other way.
