A strange case of divorce was reported on Wednesday. Three sisters who had married three brothers filed for divorce in a session court of Lahore and demanded custody of their children.
The three sisters had married three brothers, however, their marriage took a dark turn when one of the sisters had an argument with her husband and went to her parents’ house. The other two followed her footsteps and now all three of them have moved to court to file divorce against their husbands.
The sisters have eight children. Two of the kids are with them, however, the rest of the six are with their husbands. They made a request at the court to direct their husbands to hand the custody of their children to them.
On the other hand, the three brothers – Irfan, Rizwan and Adnan – along with the six children appeared in the court on Wednesday. One of them said,
“It was a mistake to marry the three sisters and they got enraged and left the house in procession.”
He further said that they are now at their parents’ house and are demanding divorce.
“We tried our best to bring them back but Anam Shahzadi, Mehwish Bibi and Farzana Bibi are sticking to their guns,” he added.
Shafiqabad Police Station personnel escorted the husbands and their children to the court on Wednesday but the hearing was adjourned to Thursday (today) as Additional Sessions Judge Muzaffar Shahzad was on leave.
We are yet to hear what the court decided on the matter.
