Total Parco hires female employees

In a post on Halaat Updates, a Facebook user pointed out that she was going about her usual routine when she met with a pleasantly unusual incident. She spotted female employees at one of Total Parco’s gas stations.

Hired in a male-dominant workplace, these women were given equal responsibilities as their male colleagues. The Facebook user also pointed out the importance of women making a living and becoming empowered:

Total Petrol Pump has started appointing females for fuel filling and they are paying a good salary package too with 8 working hours.

She added:

The women were happy with the working environment and telling the co-staff is also really cooperative. We need to make people understand that poverty can only be reduced with women becoming active members of the working force.

Stressing over the massive population of unemployed women in Pakistan, she also pointed out how this could be a solution to reduce poverty. It was also mentioned that the minimum education required for this job is matriculation.
