Umair Jaswal has his own web-series! The travel series will follow the Qayaas lead vocalist as he bikes his way across the country.
The web series titled ‘Easypaisa Raahi‘ chronicling the musician’s journey, is obviously sponsored by Easypaisa.
Rockstars and motorbikes are a classic combo, but is this going into biker gang territory or what? Especially since Images reported the web series will feature Umair Jaswal’s monologue.

However based on what he told the news outlet, its more of exploring that childhood infatuation with bikes. (deep down we all know we’re not over it)
“It’s a bond that many of us can trace back to our childhoods when we sat on our very first bicycles. A bond that progresses over time, … There is an ultimate sense of freedom when you ride a two-wheeler.”
The Sammi Meri Waar singer actually came up with the idea three years ago. It took him a while getting a sponsor on board for the travel show and all.
“I came up with the idea back in 2017 but it took me a while to research into how I would go about it and get a sponsor on board. There were all these places that I wanted to visit, people that I wanted to meet but ultimately, the story is written by the road itself. There were so many experiences that I had that I could create four more web-series out of the content!”
Based on what Umair had to say, he’s trying to offer a travel series about Pakistan that hasn’t been white-washed. Yet it seems ‘Easypaisa Raahi‘ isn’t painted the grounded earthy colors its maker says it is.
“It’s great that we’ve been getting all these foreign vloggers to come into Pakistan and tell their stories but we really don’t need to always have ‘gora validation’. We have so many young, promising kids within our own country, who, with the right support, could show how beautiful Pakistan is, to the world.”
So far the first three episodes saw our rockstar make his way through mainly Punjab. While he does meet with Zenith Irfan the famed ‘motorcycle girl‘, the series showcases a lot of Umair Jaswal meeting friends and dining out.

That’s not the nomadic, self-discovery we expected based on the trailer. Still, the Chal Raha Hoon singer promises better bits ahead, like meeting a K-2 mountaineer. We just have to watch the whole thing as we wait for Ali Azmat’s cameo.
What do you think about giving the web series a shot? Yay or nay?
