Urwa Hocane Denies Receiving Sonya Hussyn’s Legal Notice

The ‘Parizaad’ star says that it is just a misunderstanding between them.

Sonya Hussyn, the lead actress of Urwa Hocane’s debut production film Tich Button, sent a legal notice to her producer over a payment disagreement last month demanding Rs.5 million as compensation in damages for the undesirable circumstances Urwa Hocane had created for her over the last two years.

After this incident, the release date of the film was also postponed once again, which led to many questions from the public

Urwa Hocane appeared on Express TV’s talk show, The Talk Talk Show, and addressed the matter. The Udaari star denied knowing about it and said,

I am not aware that Sonya Hussyn has sent any notice to me, I mean I am just a call away, we have been shooting the film for so long in a lot of things might happen. We should speak to each other and find out, I am sure there should be some misunderstanding, we all are mature enough and we can resolve issues, why sabotage a project like this?

She added, “I am also worried about such a notice, it’s not like that, she’s been a team, I know the process has become longer but we understand things and we will address this misunderstanding, maybe Sonya Hussyn would have called me”.

However, Sonya Hussyn is also not participating in the promotions of the film Tich Button. She also previously informed her fans in Time Out with Ahsan Khan about a year or two ago that she hadn’t gotten her paycheck for the film.
