United States President Donald Trump took the opportunity to troll pop star Taylor Swift after she got a less-than-warm reception at the Super Bowl.
In true Trump fashion, the 45th President of America took to Truth Social to share his unfiltered thoughts on The Alchemy songstress. Never one to miss an opportunity for a jab, Trump wrote:
The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!
Taylor Swift, who attended the game alongside rapper Ice Spice to cheer on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was met with audible boos when her face appeared on the jumbotron.
The pop star, ever the professional, laughed off the moment, perhaps channeling her own lyrics: “Why you gotta be so mean?”
From her boyfriend Travis Kelce, and his Kansas City Chiefs losing to Philadelphia Eagles, watching their queen get booed by the NFL crowd, the Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans turned into a double whammy of disappointment for the Swifties.
Even Kendrick Lamar’s much-anticipated halftime show also failed to feature Bad Blood, his hit collaboration with Swift.
Fans had hoped for a surprise appearance by Swift or at least a nod to the song, but Lamar had other plans, leaving Swifties fuming.
While Swift laughed off the boos, her friend and tennis legend Serena Williams came to her defense. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Williams wrote: “I love you Taylor don’t listen to those booo!!”
Serena Williams had her own iconic moment during the Super Bowl as she decided to “crip walk” during Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” performance.
