After Kyun Nikala? and Aangan Terrha, Anwar Maqsood is teaming up with Kopycat Productions once again for Naach Na Jaanay.
This time Anwar Maqsood and Kopycat Productions have Usman Mukhtar on board. The play is set to premiere on July, 24th at the Pakistan National Council of Arts in Islamabad.

The Sequel to Aangan Terrha
Naach Na Jaanay is a sequel to the famed political satire Aangan Terrha.
In 2013, director Dawar Mehmood and playwright Anwar Maqsood created the famous social satire Aangan Terrha. Since then, Dawar Mehmood has been nudging Anwar Maqsood for a sequel. Now the acclaimed writer finally made time.
“Dawar Mehmood had been imploring me for a long term to make a sequel to Aangan Terha, but I believed that its sequel couldn’t be made, but much to Mehmood’s wish here we are with another play,”

The play portrays the story of a ruler who keeps on blaming the past government for his blunders. That’s how Anwar Maqsood describes it.
“The name of the play, Naach Na Jaane, reflects the idea that a person who doesn’t know how to rule has been blessed to rule the country.”
Naach Na Jaanay will also mark Yasir Hussain’s return to theater.
The actor has been missing from the theater scene for seven long years. In Aangan Terrha, Yasir Hussain played the role of Akbar, a classical dancer.
