Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid got into an argument with Vasay Chaudhry regarding the house that belonged to the late legendary singer Madam Noor Jehan.

Shaan argues that the late singer’s house should be converted into Madam Noor Jehan Museum to honor her memory, while Vasay believes that she had sold her house so the question of converting it to a museum does not arise at all.

Pakistan’s government has allocated Rs. 50 million for the repair and restoration of fifteen different historical buildings. One of these buildings belonged to Pakistani legend Madam Noor Jehan.

Express Tribune shared the news that the late singer’s house will be converted into a plaza.

Actor Shaan Shahid was disappointed to hear the news and urged the government to convert the house into Madam Noor Jehan Museum as a tribute to the late singer’s legacy.

However, TV host and actor Vasay Chaudhry disagreed with the Waar star as he explained in his response.

“She sold that house out of her own will, whereas the other house in question is a totally different story,” Vasay Chaudhry replied to Shaan’s tweet.

In response, Shaan stated that the government should at least pay for her house. Vasay further stated that the government had already commemorated Madam Noor Jehan with several civil awards and accolades in her lifetime.

He added that converting the house into a museum does not make sense, given the current economic situation of the country.

  1. Shan has himself been an actor of note although, perhaps, the moribund state of film industry doesn’t allow him to further flourish. His stand is understandable. Wasay is more realistic in his views no doubt.
Late Madam Noorjahan sold the main herself of her own will.
Her own two sons reputedly quarrelled over division of their late mother’s assetts. One of them went to court over this.
