The legendary actor, Firdous Jamal, was recently diagnosed with cancer and is currently under treatment at Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
The sad news was revealed by his son, actor Hamza Firdous.
He shared a lovely image of his father and brother, Bilawal, on his Instagram account, and shared a heart-breaking caption about the senior actor’s health condition, and asked his fans for prayers.
It read:
My father is going into a Cancer recovery treatment at Shaukat Khanum.
I know.. it’s life! but nothing to worry because we (his family) and you all (his dearest friends, work colleagues, fans, admirers, well-wisher’s) are here for him.
He became an actor against all odds, here’s to another battle but luckily the odds are in his favor inshallah he will come out stronger.
Please remember him and us in your prayers! 🙏
Many fans and celebrities sent their wishes to highly acclaimed actor in this tough time. Even the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Mariyum Aurangzeb, wished for the speedy recovery of the ailing actor, saying “My prayers and good wishes are with Firdous Jamal. May good health attends him”.
Firdous Jamal is a veteran Pakistani actor who is known for his brilliant acting skills. Jamal started his career in Hindko dramas and has worked in more than 300 television plays and 150 stage plays.
The Pyaray Afzal star often came under fire for his mean comments on successful actors. His ageist remarks about Mahira Khan landed him in hot waters after which he was banned from the activities on Hum TV. And now recently he commented on the acting of Humayun Saeed.
