Saghir Elahi Khichi dies of COVID-19

As more Coronavirus cases are discovered each day, the death toll is climbing up as well. Veteran actor Saghir Elahi Khichi is one of the recent casualties of COVID-19.

According to Dunya News, Saghir Elahi Khichi had been placed on a ventilator in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) a few days ago. The veteran actor’s death marks the 11th death due to COVID-19 in Karachi’s Khichi Mohalla. The area has been classified as a Coronavirus hotspot in the province.

The comedian will be laid to rest as per all stipulated SOPs.

The Sindhi actor was known for the sitcom Makhan Mojun Main. However, he was actually a stage artist and improv comedian.

The number of coronavirus cases is steadily increasing in Pakistan. Particularly after the countrywide lockdown was eased by provincial and federal governments. The death toll is also climbing.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) in Punjab, Shaheen Raza is another COVID-19 casualty. She passed away yesterday.

Meanwhile, Awami National Party Secretary-General Mian Iftikhar Hussain’s brother Mian Sarir Hussain has also passed away.

Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari has also tested positive for Coronavirus but has made a full recovery. He revealed that he had been an asymptomatic case of COVID-19 but went into self-quarantine after testing positive in order to protect others.
