The Pakistani drama Sinf-e-Aahan (Women of Steel) continues to be celebrated for its empowering narrative and stellar cast, but a recent revelation from director Nadeem Baig has sent fans into a frenzy.
In a candid interview, Baig disclosed that beloved actress Hania Aamir was originally slated to star in one of the leading roles but had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts. The news has sparked widespread buzz on social media, with fans imagining what could have been for the blockbuster series.
Sinf-e-Aahan, which aired on ARY Digital Entertainment in 2021–2022, follows the transformative journeys of six women from diverse backgrounds as they train to become officers in the Pakistan Army.
Directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Umera Ahmad, the series boasts a powerhouse cast including Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, Kubra Khan, Syra Yousuf, Ramsha Khan, and Dananeer Mobeen. However, Baig recently revealed that Hania Aamir, known for her vibrant performances in dramas like Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, was initially cast for one of the pivotal roles.
“Unfortunately, her dates didn’t align with our shooting schedule, and we had to part ways,” Baig shared in the interview, without specifying which character Aamir was meant to play.
The director expressed regret over the missed opportunity but praised the final cast for their exceptional performances, noting that the project’s success speaks for itself. The revelation has left fans speculating about which cadet Aamir might have portrayed and how her signature charm could have shaped the iconic series.
The news has taken platforms like X by storm, with Hania Aamir’s fans expressing a mix of disappointment and curiosity. Some fans even called for a potential reunion, urging Baig to collaborate with Aamir on a future project.
