Netizens had been speculating who the lucky mystery man is who the Superstar actress fell in love with. Now, she reveals exactly how her relationship became public knowledge.
Mahira Khan is in love!
In a live session with Rewind at Home hosted by Samina Peerzada, Mahira Khan revealed she was in love. The host asked her if she had someone special that she loved. To this, the actress replied:
Yeah, I think I am in love.
However, the 36-year-old did not share the name of the person. She said:
This is one thing that I just want to protect with my life. I also want to protect my child the same.

The infamous interview with HSY
In an interview with HSY, Mahira Khan finally revealed the name of the man she fell in love with. Talking about her love life, HSY said:
You are in love now, his name is Saleem.
He then proceeded to ask her a cheeky question:
When you look deep into his eyes, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?
To this Mahira Khan revealed how lucky she feels to be with someone like Salim Karim. She said:
There’s a line in Humsafar, which I thought was beautiful, where Ashar says to Khirad, ‘Pata nahi tum mujhe kis naiki kay badlay main milli ho (I don’t know what I did to deserve you]. I think the same about Salim. I think the same about him.

‘Ghabrana Mana Hai’
In an interview with Vasay Chaudhry for his ARY Digital show ‘Ghabrana Mana Hai‘, Mahira revealed how her love life came out in the open. The host asked her to share why she chose HSY to reveal this news. To this she said:
Actually, if you ask me the truth, I did not choose him [Hassan Sheheryar Yasin] or anyone else, for that matter. I don’t want to talk about my personal life at all. But because Sheroo [HSY] already knew- I said I don’t want to talk about it- the conversation led to that topic.
Host Vasay Chaudhry said it was her who revealed the news and not HSY. However, the Raees actress revealed that was not true.
The name slipped out of his [HSY’s] mouth. And I’m not going to be someone who is going to deny something that is the truth.
She was also asked to share how she has managed to be so headstrong recently. Vasay mentioned that she had been very calculated in the past. However, now Mahira Khan does not fear sharing her opinions. To this the actress said:
When you gradually start growing up, your opinions become stronger. And you also start feeling like the platform and the voice given to you has a lot of importance. So, sometimes you go wrong…
…and sometimes my words empower others.
