Upcoming drama serial Dobara has created a buzz all over social media ahead of its mid-October premiere. Here’s everything you need to know about Bilal Abbas Khan and Hadiqa Kiani’s next.
Hum TV has been setting the benchmark for quality programming for some time now. The channel continues its trend of success with another eagerly anticipated drama serial Dobara. Written by Sarwat Nazir with Momina Duraid Productions and Danish Nawaz at the helm, the show brings the pairing of Bilal Abbas Khan and Hadiqa Kiani.
Not Your Usual Kind of Love Story
If you’re thinking that Hadiqa may be an odd pairing for Bilal Abbas then you’re in for a surprise because that is the story of Dobara. Hadiqa will portray an old woman who is in love with a young man (Bilal Abbas). According to Danish Nawaz, this unconventional story will in no way induce ‘cringe’ nor is it serious. Dobara is a story about caring and relationships with a social message
Danish further reveals that Bilal and Hadiqa get married in the drama. “There’s nothing cringey about it. It’s a story about relationships and caring. It’s not a heavy duty serious drama either. There are lighter moments and a lot of layers to the story courtesy of a very varied cast.”
The drama serial has a star-studded lineup that includes Naumaan Ijaz, Javed Sheikh, Shabir Jan, Nabeel Zuberi, Usama Khan, Sakina Samo, Zoya Nasir, and a new actress Maheen Siddiqui in her debut role.
Talking about Javed Sheikh’s character, Danish says that veteran actor will bring some humor to the plot with his character.
