Fashion designer Khadija Shah has become one of the most talked-about public figures nowadays, and it’s not because of ÉLAN’s latest lawn collection.
The daughter of the former finance minister was taken into custody in relation to the assault on Jinnah House following the arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan on May 9.
It is alleged that former COAS General Asif Nawaz Janjua’s bahu played a prominent role in leading the assault on the residence of the Lahore Corps Commander. This newfound notoriety has made people curious to learn more about this renowned designer turned rebel.
Known for her impeccable sense of style and creative prowess, Khadija Shah is a prominent fashion designer and the founder of the fashion brand ÉLAN and Zaha. Born and raised in Pakistan, she is the daughter of former finance minister Salman Shah, and daughter-in-law of the esteemed former Chief of Army Staff, General (retd.) Asif Nawaz Janjua.

However, recent events have cast a shadow over her reputation. Shah turned herself in at the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Iqbal Town police station on Tuesday. Prior to her surrender, authorities had carried out unsuccessful raids on two houses in Gulberg and one in Bahria Town in an attempt to apprehend Shah.
Reports suggest that she had cunningly managed to elude the police, leaving her flat disguised in a burqa just moments before they arrived. It is believed that she had resorted to using a friend’s mobile phone for communication to maintain her elusive status.
