Who Is the Lucky Man That Married Malala Yousafzai?

After Malala Yousafzai announced that she has tied the knot to Asser Malik, everyone is left wondering: But who is this guy?

Word is that the lucky man, Asser Malik is the general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) High-Performance Centre. According to the man’s LinkedIn profile he has been working for them since May 2020.

Prior to that, he worked for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans as an operational manager. He also ran a player management agency.

The young man is a Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). grad. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from LUMS in 2012.

The Nobel Laureate tweeted how she wed Asser Malik in Birmingham in a gathering with just family.

“Today marks a precious day in my life,” she wrote in a Twitter post. “Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families,”

 

 

Right after the announcement, the congratulations began pouring in. Particularly from public figures in Pakistan. From Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Aseefa Bhutto Zardari to Jemima Goldsmith.

Despite her earlier views on marriage, the education activist looked radiant in her wedding pictures. However, she didn’t go the traditional route for anything. From just inviting family to this major life event, to not wearing red.

Malala Yousafzai donned a tea-pink wedding dress with gold accents. Meanwhile, the groom kept it classic with a plain black suit and a matching tea-pink tie.
