As many celebs voiced the desire to essay politicians like Benazir Bhutto that broke the glass ceiling, Yasir Hussain has expressed a peculiar desire when it comes to the politician he wants to essay. He wants to play politician and former president of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari.
During his appearance on an Eid Special show with his wife Iqra Aziz, the Aangan Teerha actor voiced this thought. As per the actor, ‘there is a big politician in the country’ whom he wants to essay in a movie. Any guesses as to whom he’s referring to? None other than Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari.
Yasir Hussain said that he finds the politician’s personality very interesting. Adding that he feels he can do justice to the role if offered that part in a film.
While it is unclear what the Jhooti actor’s political affiliation is. However, earlier in June 2022 he took to his Instagram stories to slam the ruling government. He asked them to leave the nation this August. The Koel director captioned the post;
“August mai aazadi bhi de den hum ko. Jaan choren, Noon ne toh laam laga diye. (Leave us in August, give us independence. PML-N has screwed us.)
The caption was paired with a news story about a price hike for fuel and the electricity crises in the country. His story also featured Miftah Ismail’s picture apart from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
