On Monday, a young man tragically shot a teenage girl after she declined his marriage proposal. Disturbingly, he subsequently took his own life on the spot.
The young man, known as Usaama, the son of Mohammad Aslam, led an ordinary life as a worker in a furniture shop. The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was a 10th-grade student at a local school, as reported by the police based on statements from relatives.
On Monday morning, Usaama reached out to the girl, proposing marriage. However, she declined, expressing her desire to focus on completing her education. In a tragic turn of events, Usaama, overwhelmed by emotions, drew his gun and fired at her before taking his own life with a gunshot to the head.
Residing in Sector G-7/3-4, Usaama found himself entangled in this heartbreaking incident with the girl, who lived in Sohan under the jurisdiction of the Khanna police station.
Law enforcement promptly arrived at the scene, and following the investigation, both bodies were transported to the hospital.
