Tragedy struck for two families as a soon-to-be married couple committed suicide in Adikhad village in Landikotal. According to the police, the girl hung herself with the rope at home. Upon hearing the news of his fiancé’s demise, the man hanged himself to death out of frustration.
It is unclear as to why these two individuals committed suicide. However, a police investigation has been launched to get to the bottom of this tragic incident.
According to official sources, the man was an Afghan national who has been identified as Khan (or his alias Khany). He was engaged to a young girl, who was also an Afghan national, for six months.

On Tuesday, Khan received the tragic news about his fiancé committing suicide at her home in Adikhad due to reasons unknown.
Later, grieving the loss of his soon-to-be wife, Khan took his own life by hanging himself in Landikotal Bazaar. Since then, the police have launched an investigation.
Khan was of 23 years of age and he worked as a hairdresser at a local salon in Landikotal Bazaar.
Upon launching the investigation, the police have come up with new details behind the pair’s unfortunate passing. According to the family sources, the girl was not happy with her engagement. They also shared that the girl had a telephonic conversation with her fiancé prior to her committing suicide. Allegedly, the two exchanged unpleasant words with each other.
It remains to be seen how the police go with their investigation and determine who is to be blamed for this tragic incident.
