Now, the police investigators have come forward to declare that the medical report released by the medico-legal officer (MLO) is ‘wrong’. After delving more into the case, the police have decided to exhume Dr. Maha’s body to conduct her post mortem again.
According to their new findings, the 9mm pistol that was used in her suicide was used from the right hand. Whereas, the previous medical report stated the gun was fired from the left hand.
It remains to be seen what new evidence can be found. Meanwhile, a session court granted bail to one of the suspects in Dr. Maha Shah’s death, Dr. Irfan. The accused was released against a surety bond of Rs. 500,000 after his plea to have his name removed from the case since the police failed to bring any strong evidence against him.
According to the FIR registered against Dr. Irfan along with Junaid and Waqas Hasan Rizvi, the victim told her sister that she was being blackmailed and abused by a friend as the accused were intoxicating her continuously.
