The drama serial ‘Yaar Na Bichray‘ has garnered quite the hype with its first episode. The first episode alone bagged one million views on YouTube.

Based on the teasers it seemed like the usual ‘bad boy meets good girl’ tale. These stories usually follow a romance where the woman ends up changing and fixing the man. He rights his wrongs to be good enough for her.

However, here we see the bad boy ‘Aazar’, played by Zain Baig, as some savior for the damsel in distress. Despite being a soft-spoken, sweet, good girl we see our heroine, Zainab Shabbir’s ‘Palwasha’ has an emotionally abusive father. How did this parental neglect affect her? Well, she seems intent on making all sacrifices to appease her father and gain her father’s approval.

After her mother left we see ‘Palwasha’ bears the unseen scars of her father’s verbal hits. He takes all the anger of his late wife out on his own daughter. Perhaps there’s even a forced marriage in the mix.

Based on the first episode we saw that there’s a triangle in the mix here. In the first episode, we get to see that a fragile Palwasha is too scared to even tell her father she’s being harassed outside her college.

When her father does find out he blames her. The harasser, Sami played by Hammad Farooqi, is the son of a business associate of Palwasha’s father. We soon see her stalker try and use this business arrangement between his father and Palwasha’s father to ‘obtain’ the women he seeks.

While Palwasha is reduced to an object to obtain for Rashid, the bad boy Aazar treats her as human. He acknowledges that he can’t force his feelings on her.
