After making a comeback in Heer Maan Ja‘s dance number, movie star Zara Sheikh is moving on to another drama after ages. Better late than never, we guess!
While Lollywood actors such as Resham and Imran Khan gradually took over the small screen, artists like Zara Sheikh went on a hiatus until now. She first made her drama debut in Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Mey. And then took a break.
According to Galaxy Lollywood, the Chalo Ishq Larain actress finally found an ‘exciting character that pushes her as an actor,’. So she was really just looking for a challenge all along.
“People have always asked me why I have never done a TV show before and my answer has always been the same: I just want to do a character that is exciting and gives me a good margin of performance.”
Given the redundancy in storylines in most contemporary dramas, no wonder she took her sweet time to return to the small screen. Looks like Raqs-e-Bismil will finally bring a refreshing new storyline.
What will this Hum TV project offer?
“The character is really exciting. The show has a very good team of co-actors and also behind the screens. It is a Hum TV project. I am really looking forward to being a part of it.”
Shazia Wajahat is collaborating with Momina Duraid for production. Meanwhile, Wajahat Rauf will be directing the drama written by Hashim Nadeem. We already know Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan are the lead characters.
