Zee TV’s ‘Zindagi channel’ will screen Pakistani dramas in India.

Zindagi Gulzar Hai

Since Humsafar and Khuda Aur Mohabbat made waves across the border, Pakistani drama serials have garnered a fanbase in India. Now Indian audiences are set to be treated to contemporary favorites like Zindagi Gulzar Hai.

As per reports from Hindustan Times, Zee TV’s ‘Zindagi channel’ will screen Pakistani dramas in India. Audiences will get to see works like Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain, Aunn Zara, and Sadqay Tumhare.

According to Hindustan Times, the Chief Creative Officer of Zee Special Projects shared how;

“What started as a salient idea between a few people deeply invested in the belief of cross border cultural collaborations grew to become one of the most loved television channels in the country.”

She also mentioned how Zee5, the enterprise’s digital streaming platform is also sharing Pakistani content.

“Zindagi took its journey ahead on OTT fueling the digital consumption needs in the country, and the community of believers continued to grow.”

Those works include Saba Qamar and Naumaan Ijaz’s latest offering, Mrs. and Mr. Shameem. As well as previous works like Dhoop Ki Dewar, Ek Jhooti Love Story, and Churails.

Given how the Bollywood ban on Pakistani artists doesn’t extend to OTT platforms, many Zee5 Originals are Pakistani collabs. Another original web series to look forward to is Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam. Which is also being produced for and will be streamed on Zee’s streaming service, ZEE5.
