Indian television and the film industries are known for deliberately ripping off plots and stories from other entertainment industries. Be it a song, drama, or an entire film’s plot, they just recreate existing works that have a distinct following. This time they tried to copy the dramatic plot of Pakistan’s most popular serial Mere pass Tum Ho.
This isn’t the first time of the blatant copy. Sony TV has once before recreated Pakistani popular drama Dhoop Kinaray as a drama serial Kuch Tu Log Kahen Gay. And a few days back they even copied the iconic romantic scene from our blockbuster drama Humsafar in their drama serial Badde Achey Lagtey Hen 2.
The teaser of the upcoming Sony TV drama Kamana is totally giving us Mere Pass Tum Ho vibes. It has the same story which revolves around the hardworking and loving husband and overly demanding wife just like Danish (Humayun Saeed) and Mehwish (Ayeza Khan). Have a look at both of the teasers!
Pakistani hit dramas like Humsafar, Zindagi Gulzar hai, Khuda Aur Muhabbat, and many more are even loved by cross-border audiences.
