A notification issued by the civic body said that technical assistance for the director audit would be provided by a three-member committee of engineers led by DG Services Mohammad Nawaz, Director Maintenance Mashooq Ali Sheikh, and Director Planning and Development Ramesh Kumar.

The committee has been tasked with verifying the work in terms of quantum and payment, as well as checking the quality of work executed through necessary tests.

The sources claim that the chairman of CDA, Mohammad Usman, learned from his own sources that the three directorates were allegedly involved in wrongdoings while carrying out construction work.

Furthermore, the said directorates used massive funds not only in the first quarter of this fiscal year, but also in previous years, and huge payments were made against the work done through quotations.

Despite conflicting information regarding the total amount of money spent on quotations over the past few years, some officials claimed that eight billion rupees were spent on quotation projects.
