CM Punjab Approves Several Development Projects

LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, has approved several development projects, including an underpass from Babu Sabu Interchange to Ring Road Gulshan Ravi T-Junction.

The CM also approved the projects on 152 Kanal of land on Ferozepur Road near the IT Tower; a hospital will be built on 59 kanal, while 4 commercial buildings and 24 kanal of land will be dedicated to an IT tower.

Moreover, the CM also gave a go-ahead for the construction of the Dubbanpura exit road, LDA City Link Road, LDA City to Defense Road to Hudiara Drain Bridge link road, as well as the exchange policy for LDA Avenue I.

Plus, Fatima Memorial Hospital also got approval for the lease extension.

In a meeting of the Lahore Development Authority’s governing body, the CM pressed that the projects include parking spaces.

The meeting approved the Amendments to LDA Land Use Regulations 2020, building and zoning regulations, and LDA Lease Regulation, 2019.  It also agreed to form a committee and a sub-committee that would be responsible to deal with the LDA’s affairs.

Furthermore, upon court orders, the working papers for the allotment of plots in Mustafa Town were also approved.

As per the details, the CM has allowed the handover of all the records (legal and illegal) of housing schemes to the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA), which falls under their jurisdiction.

It was shared that the authorities were instructed to acquire NOC from the neighbors before allowing the apartments and to ensure 50 percent green spaces on the rooftop.

It is pertinent to mention that the CM also directed that before allowing new schools, the authorities should mark the parking space.
