ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Housing and Works will host the first International Housing Expo-2022 in Pakistan in November which will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
The expo is planned in collaboration with other relevant ministries, agencies, organizations, and authorities, to provide people with safe and secure housing.
As per the details, Iftikhar Ali Shallwani, secretary of housing and works, presided over a meeting on Monday to discuss preparations for the expo.
Different topics were discussed during the meeting. It was decided to rely as little as possible on government resources and to look for sponsors and partners to help fund the expo.
Construction and related industries, according to the minister, are the main employers. Everyone has a fundamental right to safe and secure housing, and this is what the ministry hopes to accomplish with the event, he continued.
The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF), and the country’s major builders and developers will set up various stalls at the event.
