The 2021 T20 Cricket World Cup schedule has been finalized as 16 teams battle it out for a period of 30 days to be crowned as the T20 World Champions.
The 2021 T20 World Cup will commence from 17 October and the final of the mega event will take place on 14 November. The sixteen team tournament has been divided into two phases. The first phase of the tournament will include Round 1, which is scheduled to take place from 17 October to 22 October.
Lowly ranked eight teams have been divided into two groups of four. The top two teams in each group at the end of Round 1 will advance to the second round of the competition, known as the Super 12s.
Oman, Bangladesh, Scotland and Papua New Guinea are the four teams in Group A of Round 1. Each team will play against each other once and the two teams with most points at the end of the round will qualify for the next round. These four teams will play their matches in Oman.
Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands and Namibia have been put together in Group B of Round 1. The four teams will play their matches in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Twelve teams have been divided into two groups in the Super 12s stage of the tournament. The top eight ranked T20I teams will be joined by four qualifiers from Round 1. The top two teams from each group at the end of the round will qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.
Australia, England, South Africa and West Indies along with two qualifiers (A1 and B2) have been put together in Group 1, while Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Afghanistan along with two qualifiers (B1 and A2) have been put together in Group 2.
The Super 12s round of the competition will commence from 23 October as Australia take on South Africa in Abu Dhabi. The tournament will heat up as arch-rivals Pakistan and India will face off in a high-octane encounter in Dubai on 24 October.
The final match of the Super 12s will be played between India and a qualifier from Group A from Round 1 on 8 November in Dubai.

The semi-finals of the 2021 T20 World Cup will be played on 10 and 11 November. The winner of Group A will face the runner-up of Group B in the first semi-final, set to be played in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, the winner of Group B will face the runner-up of Group A in the second semi-final which will be played at Dubai International Stadium.
The final of the mega-event will take place on 14 November in Dubai.
