Hotspots (Wi-Fi Wireless) in Pakistan

Wi-Fi technology is still in very early stages of spreading its reach emerging markets. With only few hotspots throughout the country, relying on Wi-Fi and going wireless is not best of strategies to be adopted in Pakistani Land.

Those, who are familiar with Wi-Fi technology, would know what a ‘hotspot’ is. For those who do not, this is limited area (depending on the strength and density of signals) where the wireless internet is accessible through Wi-Fi.

Here is a list of a few sites in three cities, where Wi-Fi is offered for free or at nominal fee.

    Wi-fi service is also now in Superior university lahore in all campuses like university campus,women campus,main campus etc…

    Pakistan Railways has installed a WiFi network in it’s office building i.e. Divisional Superintendent Office, Rawalpindi as a pilot project. It has potential to be used in all railway installations.

  8. Wi-Fi in UCP(PCBA-PICS) lahore is very good, help a lot of students in their studies.

  10. wiifi max range is 500 meters in open area
    same range gets low when in coverd with buildings.
