It has been reported that Wateen has appointed new General Manager for HR as per company sources. Zaffar Iqbal Chaudary has joined as GM HR, however, official announcement has not been made yet.
We could not arrange official version from Wateen regarding this. However, it has been confirmed through multiple sources that Zaffar Iqbal has taken the charge.
Mr. Zaffar has served as head of HR Department, Warid Telecom until he resigned from there a year and a half ago due to domestic reasons.
It is anticipated that this move can be a step towards restructuring of Wateen, and it may end up with a merger of HR operations of Warid and Wateen, if not the whole companies. It may be recalled that Warid’s HR head’s slot has been vacant.
Let’s hope some good efforts by the newly appointed GM of HR.
Good News
The policies made by last GM HR Mr. Durani was very immeture and bad in respect of company. He made the policy to cick-off hundreds employees without any reason even they was on little pay scale.
Might be Wateen will grow up with new GM HR and employees of Wateen shall be entertained positively.
I am using the wateen as backup to my DSL (You never know, when PTCL line goes down :-p ). This backup connection proved be very much in consisting, their support is like one transmitter of tower in our area was malfunctioning it took about more than 48 hour to fix that.
Hope new appointments make things better.
