Farid Ahmed, recently the Head of Business Analysis & Planning at Mobilink, has decided to move on by joining Telenor Pakistan as Director Marketing, reported More Magazine.
Farid Ahmed will replace Usman Javed as Director Marketing at Telenor Pakistan, we have confirmed with Telenor.
Mr. Farid has already resigned from his position at Mobilink, however, the announcement is yet to be made officially, we have checked.
Farid Ahmed, who had been with Mobilink for over ten years, was given the charge of Business Analysis and Planning in January this year.
Earlier, Farid had been working as head of Marketing for Mobilink from July 2012 till he was replaced by Wasif Mustafa in January this year.
Sources tell that Mobilink has no plans to fill the slot that is vacated by Farid Ahmed, instead Qazi Furqaan and Umer Afzal – the two senior most officials in the department – are going to take care of Business Analysis and Planning division of Mobilink. Both Umer and Furqaan will report to Bilal Munir Sheikh, Chief Commercial Officer of Mobilink.
Usman Javed, who had been with Telenor for over five years, is reportedly moving to Canada to continue his studies.
