Mobilink Shocks the Market with Limited Time 30GB 3G Bundles

Mobilink has decided to get aggressive with its 3G offerings. Lately they introduces these new high volume bundles – which are available for just a week – that will offer its customers to enjoy as much as 30GB of 3G bandwidth in a month; that too only for Rs. 600 per month.

With this Mobilink has beaten PTCL’s EVO offering, and not to mention other operators are hovering around or under 10GB bundles for their 3G plans.

Mobilink has currently over 1500 cell sites on 3G network in 12 cities.

As part of limited time offer, Mobilink has also offered 15GB bundle with 30 days expiry and a 7GB weekly bundle for just Rs. 60 per week.

As mentioned above, all these bundles are available for a limited time duration that is till October 14th, 2014 but those who will subscribe before this date will be able to enjoy Mobilink’s 3G services till the expiry of bundle.

With this, we assume, Mobilink is trying to calculate the data hunger of its customers. Company has also hinted that high-volume data bundles are not out of question and customers will be given the opportunity to enjoy 3G as their primary data connection on the go.

  • Fantastic Packages… Unbelievable
First time I m impressed by Mobilink. These packages should Continue

      • no I mean to ask what does pulse size means? technically and how does it effect the speed

        • Let me give you example of voice call and its pulse. Usually voice calls are pulsed at 1 minute. Meaning that, after each minute a new charging unit will be applicable. Or in other words, you won’t be charged till 00:59 seconds or 01:59 seconds and so on.

And to add, let’s assume you consumed 10KB and then disconnected the session, in such cases your total data usage will be billed as 64KB as charging pulse was 64KB.

Charging pulse for data is more relevant when you are not subscribed to any bundle. In such cases, charging pulse determines your next charging unit.

          • Mere Humnaam bhai ye Model ka name bhi bata dain zara. Indian hai k pakistani

            • Pakistani. Fakhri was born on 20 October 1979 in Queens, New York to a Pakistani father Mohammed Fakhri and a Czech mother Marie Fakhri. Her parents divorced when she was six or seven years old.

The best thing about Mobilink is it has both ethnic Pakistanis as their brand ambassader. (Ali Zafar & Nargis Fakhri)

          • No idea if you’re from some other network to spread anti-Mobilink propaganda, or if even have a 3G phone with 3G activated. Anyways, I’ll share my own experience, I’m getting speeds between 2.5 – 10.5Mb/s in Islamabad, Rawalpindi & Lahore.

Lahore, The least I’ve experienced is 2.5Mb/s. The highest is 6.5Mb/s.
Islamabad, The least I’ve experienced is 4Mb/s. The highest is 6Mb/s.
Rawalpindi, The least I’ve experienced is 3.5Mb/s. The highest is 10.5Mb/s.

Generally I’ve seen all networks providing much better speeds in Rawalpindi (Saddar/Bahria) as compared to other cities, maybe as I’ve spent much more time here as compared to other cities, and have managed to check on several odd times…

The highest I’ve got on Zong is 11.5Mb/s.

            • See the speed before the launch of this package? Above 900kbps

And after the package the current speed being experienced is around 300kbps

    • EDIT 19th November 2014:
The package of GBs has arrived yet again but this time it has much better speeds!

      • Sorry i am contacting you at wrong place for off-topic issue. I want to purchase the old propakistani theme along with its plug-ins etc. A positive response is awaited. My email is given in my info

      • Amir Bhai.. I bought tplink ma 260 usb for 3G it works cool when i plug it directly in to the pc.. but drops connection when i connect it to the tplink router 3420 after some time.. plz tell me what should i do..

  • If i buy before 13th October, will i be able to recharge and use the same bundle every month? or will revert back to normal packages after a month?

  • These packages were the need of time because Mobilink postpaid service generated Bill amount of 47,000 PKR for Mini package activation by the utilization of one day 3G paid service . My outgoing services are blocked from that day. They have no reply or solution on factitious bill amount generated.

    • Postpaid Bill amount continuously increasing in thousands even GPRS and outgoing services blocked by Mobilink from last 10 days.

    • It is apparently not possible, corporate customers are enjoying the best packages of 3g services….unlimited users are still 5g in same old rate ….

  • I had used 1 gb volume at Rs. 15, validty one day speed was superb around 4 – 5 mbps

  • I guess people are missing an important point. It’s limited time offer and these packages may vanish after the mentioned date (13th Oct, 2014)

    • You can avail this offer till 13 October.Definitely, 30 days offer will continue uptill one month.

  • It’s just a start…!! The day is not far when they will offer unlimited only at cheap rate..!!

      • By the way, Telenor is good at 3G packages, but Ufone 3G’s price is fondling the sky..!! It’s time for Ufone and cellular operators to learn from these shocks!!

          • If you compare price of 3G data buckets, Ufone is more economical than any other network in Pakistan.

            • Fab. Please do let me know if such a bucket exists, and I’m certainly not talking about 256Kb/s speeds :)

I’d love to see between 3Mb/s to 5Mb/s .. Please let me know what would 1 GB cost. Thanks.

If you can’t, please don’t spread false propoganda and mislead people. The comments section is not for advertisement.

Unless you work for Ufone and get free unlimited internet with ”what you can get” speed, then your comment might be sensible, other than than, it simply misleads people and forced them to go to the Ufone website and then be turned down once again by seeing their pathetic rates.

P.S. Was Ufone for over 2 yrs, but after their disaster in 3G, I moved on…

        • I am using Ufone 3G data plan which is more economical than any other network in Pakistan.

          • The most expensive network is Zong, after Ufone. The cheapest is Telenor. Mobilink has the most economical rates as they have secured more bandwidth as compared to other networks, so that is price + quality.

Mobilink and Zong have both secure 10MHz of bandwidth, hence they can entertain more users per tower and provide better services..

YET, Ufone’s 0.5Mb/s (512Kb/s) is priced MORE than Zong.

Theoretically you can get speeds of 42 Mb/s on Zong, but the max I have achieved is 11.5 Mb/s. The least I’ve had on Zong is 3 Mb/s.

Ufone is offering 1/6 of what Zong is offering at nearly double (2x) the price. Only someone with absolutely no brains at all can consider using Ufone.

Generally we say filthy rich people afford expensive services, but in Ufone’s case I really doubt that as they are NOT offering services.

It seems they’re just trying to offer DSL and that too at LTE rate, in Sierra Leone or Congo at the rate only Swiss or German people can afford. With no intention for Pakistani People to use it.

  • i am a postpaid user and i am extremely disappointed with mobilink 3G speed all over pakistan. There is no use of having 30GB. With the current 3G experience of mobilink connectivity even 1 GB is of no use. Extremely disappointed

  • Nice, now it’s time to use my old mobilink’s sim :P. The only reason for leaving mobilink and migrating to Warid was their high sms and call charges, so now I’m using Warid’s monthly sms package and happy with it. However, I’ll surely use these bundles on mobilink now. :)

  • I would recommend they should try to increase their Coverage Area first. This is same issue we have with all operators, no focus on Customer Care or Quality of Service. All the focus is on providing new packages and expensive advertisements.

    • i recommend they should urgently improve their 3G speed and connectivity and voice drops. they have been misleading customers for last 3 years by saying that they are upgrading their network

    • Excellent Mobilink.30GB data volume at just Rs 600/ per month is very cheap. If Mobilink continue these packages, they will get unprecedented number of 3G customers.

  • amazing. seems like i have to convert my ufone sim to Mobilink now. Ufone’s internet packages are currently highest in price.

  • These limited promotional 3G Data Bundles are awesome. I hope they will beat PTCL’s monopoly and bring more competition in addition to greater value for the end users.

    • I think Mobilink can capture 1 million 3G customers during this limited time.Afterwards, they will continue their packages according to my opinion. This is major Breakthrough in data market.

  • I wish they’d implement these packages forever! Then the real competition would start among the Pakistani market, and 3G would penetrate successfully.

  • damn.. a bomb on every carrier in Pakistan.. you are kicking it Mobilink and you are kicking it hard

    • how??? i get well over 10mbps everytime same as zong which actually is very mixed bag, i get 8 to 10 at office, 4 to 5 at home, ad at defense near marina club area, no signals at all. zong just dies in that area.

      • As all these products(3G, 4G ) are new, some problems exist. With passage of time, all technical problems will be resolved and signals will be available everywhere.

        • you misunderstood, not the 3g signals, the zong network dies in that area, aka no zong coverage.

  • Considering their 2G data, voice services and quality; “MayBeLink” is still worst among all cellular networks.

  • ya its really great to know . i activated monthly pakg of Rs 300 for one month with volume of 15 gb. as i m using jazz sim as a second sim for net only so i loaded Rs 400 after deduction of taxes i got Rs 300 and pakg activated succefully. i am already using mobilink 3g in peshawar, its speed is much better than other networks. hope to see some exciting packgs in near future .

  • I have Mobilink 3G. But it’s not been playing live streaming cricket match smoothly without stuck for a while Ever since these packages are started.
But other apps like Facebook or Web browsing MP3 songs downloading Still working well
I am still very happy to use and enjoy the net such a low rate at 2G price with big data never expected so early

    • It is just start of competition between all cellular operators as 3G users have crossed 2.5 million in just three months.Quality at start will vary and will improve with passage of time. After one year, you will find improved quality 3G/4G services with minimum rates at maximum data volumes download.Just wait and see.

  • after getting the package, the speed has dropped drastically! Before this offer launch the speeds were decent enough to keep me from using my home Wi-Fi.. . Around 90 to 100 kbps speed is being given right now with these packages!

  • I’m using mobility 3G now and have been completely satisfied with the transfer speed, total amount of data and the price. Finally I have removed my 2 years old telenor SIM. And bye bye EVO too.
I have loved mobilink it always does new things before any networks.

  • Don’t fall for the Bundle Size guyz!!!
After reading this article i went to buy a new Mobilink connection, subscribed the 5GB for 150 package and its not worth it.
My whatsapps not working! Can’t use Viber, Can’t use Instagram, can’t use Snapchat either!!!
By can’t use i mean they’re not working on this offer!! 64kb pulse size is simply not good enough for these apps to work!!

    • Average speed in g9 islamabad is f9 64kbs but in h10 its 20 to 30kbps i am unable to open even maybilink website

  • I have a question guys.
I’m using Mobilink 3G. Activated 5GB package. But i’m having some issues..
If i select WAP from APN my Instagram & Whatsapp & a few other apps don’t work. Browsing, Twitter & FB apps work fine.
But if i select Mobilink Internet from APN then my Instagram & Whatsapp starts working but Browsing, Twitter & Facebook don’t work.
So, can anyone explain to me what’s the issue here? Why is that happening and how can i fix this?
    Btw i’m using Qmobile A900.

  • These are the best 3G packages in Pakistan. Mobilink should continue these packages so that people can take advantage of 3G and it will be a real revolution in Pakistan’s telecom industry.

    • Agreed. These are most economical 3G packages.I think Mobilink will be able to retain their 4 to 5 million high ARPU customers with these economical 3G packages. It seems Mobilink has made 3G almost free by introducing these packages.Well done Mobilink for making market competitive.

  • It simply sucks! At different locations in Karachi where mobilink 3G coverage is available, the internet experience is very poor. Occasionally, it would work but for the most part you can’t even open a single page.

  • 3g don’t availability I’m city I live in Peshawar board police colony so plz we need 3g here is no intena.

  • PTCL Wingle having 1250/ Month package available ( New Dibba Pack devices) for info call 03004333661

  • Wonderful packages , best of all . Ufone and other telecommunications companies offer 3g at a very high price but JAAZ is very very unique and affordable ):- thank you
    P.S. I am from Afghanistan

  • This is total bullshit crap.
All mobilink 3G packages are non-recursive. Which means you would have to activate the package every month otherwise you would be charged Rs 18 / MB.
This is total crap since you would surely miss this deadline and get screwed with the per MB Charges.
Mobilink successfully fucked up the only network that used to be perfect.
Never had any single issue or call quality Issues with Warid and totally messed up signal strength and frequent call drop since mobilink took over.
