PTCL Announces New CharJi EVO Products and Packages

Amid competition from cellular operators, PTCL has announced new plans for its CharJi service that is theoretically capable of delivering 36Mbps wireless broadband speeds.

Now available with different monthly data limits, EVO Charji service comes at as low as Rs. 1,800 per month. Additionally, a new plan is also introduced with monthly limit of 100GBs.

Not to mention, data limits are something that users have disapproved so far. But considering all wireless broadband services come with a data cap, EVO services are still considered a better choice if you are heavy data user on the go.

PTCL is clearly facing tough time from 3G operators, and this why they had to explicitly mention that their CharJi service isĀ four to five times faster than 3G networks.

To have better idea of how heated the broadband market is, check below comparison chart that PTCL has posted on its Facebook page.

  • Poor service reliability and still prices are higher than lte packages.
Chargi may only attract corporates, not the consumers.

    • I am sorry, but corporate are also the consumers. (Wrong term)
About the rates, look at the data we get for a month. Personally, I am having 16Mbps+ speed in peak hours with the Charji cloud in my pocket, and online all the time.
      Location: Lahore.

      • Lahore may be getting such dramatic speeds. However, as far as my experience is concerned, PTCL is the worst Wireless ISP in Karachi. CDMA is a failed technology and i wonder why PTCL is spending so much into it. Don’t you remember when this CDMA failed to handle your local calls with Vfone Wireless Service (which require max of only 12kbps as voice channel) and PTCL finally has to opt out with Vfone wireless…

So either they are recovering for what useless equipment they had deployed all over Pakistan or they still are trying hard to push a failed CDMA based deployed Network.

If one of us is getting 16Mbps+ speed that doesn’t mean the network is flawless, i had experienced 16 consecutive EVO Wingle corporate disconnections with PTCL due to average internet speed as low as 200kbps equals 0.2Mbps for 3 months.

With Chaargi its not that new 4G technology, its still is conventional CDMA technology, same network and new customer end devices which won’t do any better. Though 4G is far more better than 3G CDMA Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO or EVO or EVDO).

        • I’m in Karachi. I am practically getting 10Mbps to 22 Mbps on Charji Cloud -B. Assuming your comments as true, then it could be due to starting of new service. May be when many people buy and share resources then speed will fall.

        • Spot On !!! PTCL= Nightmare on EveryStreet, I’ve used there Evo Wingle max Down speed is 250 kps on IDM which mostly pull the speed out of every download you do, Secondly the device itself is a big problem most of the times need to go to settings & restore to defaults WHY because there is no signals & now wow its dead lol have to take this piece of crap to there masters PTCL outlets, Now if you compare the prices & Speed, Quality (mainly)with 3G & 4G LTE providers they are amazing, Just grab a 3g&4g LTE usb Dongle & done can access all networks which ever you like either for hardcore downloads or normal pattern use + with amazing speed upto 42 Mbps on 4G LTE & minimum on 3g 5-10 Mbps, Just dont include Ufone in them its the brother of PTCL both are duchebags. the ones who are thinking to buying this crap try the 3G & 4G LTE networks not hard on your pockets & can switch just whenever you like & dont have to waste money like here from ptcl to any other 3g,4g.. when you dumb this ptcl the usb dongle you bought will be of no use accept be happy you got 4 gb storage lolz what a waste.. think 1000 times before buying this crap. else your choice :))

    • How can poor service reliability, Evo is getting coverage over 250+ cities and that’s not small enough I guess.Even rural areas are getting advantage ..

      • If the service is not reliable in urban areas, how could it be reliable in rural areas. Rural consumers are not like urban one’s nor there would be any bottlenecks there.. I think PTCL should target rural areas only.. Good for them.. :)

        • are u getting paid by competitors ….as me and my frends we are using charji in islamabad rawalpindi and its great…12mbps to 22mbps i get….theres no disconnection issues… i m using from oct 14 till today

  • Very poor some times give 26Mbps and went required less than 0.5Mbps on same location. I prefer Warid LTE devices which is so consistent.

    • What is your location?
I am using the device near Orangi Town, and never went less than 13Mbps, even in the evening which are prime time.

      • Mushtaq, I am using 4G in F-8 Islamabad and it never gives me more than 5 Mbps. Also in the evening i.e peak hours, speed drops to 0.5-0.9 Mbps. There is another problem, the device’s signals drop after every 15-20 seconds for a few seconds and all connected devices come to a halt. It’s good for torrent downloads, but extremely bad for live streaming or other xmbc type streaming.

    • You are right pee tcl never gave the speed which offered in my experience. i bought evo 3.1 I am using it since 4 years and offered speed never meet I hardly found 1.4 mbps so dont intend to buy this bullshit 4geeeeeeee

    • Warid – hahaha, my previous mobile connection was of warid. i can’t believe. Warid is the smallest telecom operator and the so there are lot of coverage issues, I experienced.

  • PTCL has lost its standard as compared to its rivals. Now they’re offering less data at high price that doesn’t make sense! That’s why, I prefer to buy a 3G dongle and use cellular operaters’ smart and cheap packages.

    #WakeUpPeeTCL

    • Same is the case with PTCL’s subsidiary “Ufone” they are also completely out of the seen with their 3g packages and quality…. dono ka ikathe doobne ka program hai….. People should ditch ufone and PeeetCl for good

      • Don’t you know Ufone and PTCL are the members of the same family. That’s why, Ufone gives free call to the PTCL users as per its packages.

Rest In Peace PTCL and Ufone!

    • Bhai Ammir, yeh 4G Dongles milti kahan hain ???? I searched over internet and found that LTE Dongle cost $250-$350….

    • PTCL still have better coverage as compared to mobile networks. Inside the university, I have H+ but as soon as I enter a class or cafe. BOOM! ‘E’ pops up! I just bought CharJi have 20GB package. Same data was being offered by mobile operator for 2800!

  • Mubarak ho Mubarak ho
Evo 9.3mbps pe 256kbps ki speed milti hai
Evo Chaar Ji pe 250kbps ki speed mil he jaye gi
    Mubarak ho Mubarak ho

      • I am getting 13mbps constant speed on zong 3G and I am waiting for zong’s 4G and warid’s LTE these services will easily beat the Poor Telecommunication company limited PTCL evo 4G

        • Living room mein Zong ka 3G chalta hai, or room mein ajao to 2g -_-
I still prefer evo cloud, on the go online, chalta phirta hotspot and much much better coverage and speed reliability.
Lastly, one cannot just compare mobile 3G data with EVO’s data!
          3Gb monthly = 1 week Facebook browsing.

          • Meine is qism ki problem face nhn ki full blanket coverage hai zong 3G ki and yes there is no comparison between the mobile 3G service and Poor Telecommunication Company Limited PTCL’s service
Cellular companies are the best solution for the fastest internet experience

        • for your information ptcl chargee is based on LTE 4g network since evdo is limited to 9.3 Mbps

      • You maybe one of these 2% lucky guys. Think about the rest of 98% who’re getting poor speed most of the day.

    • Yes Sir,I agree with you.PTCL very very poor service.I also waste money Rs.15000/- and no one hear me on Help line even Customer Care Center.

  • ptcl evo and charji is a complete waste of money ,
    the speeds are pathetic
you cannot trust ptcl they change packages like changing daiper on a baby

  • Kya koi achi si 3G/4G USB dongle(3(/4G Modem) bta sakta hai? Main bus yeh 2 janta hn and both sucks….!! I live in Rawalpindi.
    1. Huawei E303 (Rs. 2800)
    2. Tp-link M180 (Rs. 3500)

  • That comparison sheet (from FB) about “Internet G” and “Charji” makes me laugh. Quite like Zong’s “Super 3G” and “Super 4G”, and Mobilink’s “Bara 3G”!

  • Pathetic (P)TCL.. i mean just look at the packages and SIX THOUSAND RUPEES charges for 100GB !!! Poor service even bad signal reception and they are charging alot … Manhoosiat :/

  • ab 3g/4g packages main bi sasta sirf telenor rah gya hai mobilink ne tu data volume reduce kar diye

  • Bakwas tareen PTCL all service.. Its better if we use mobilink 3g package for Rs:60 for seven days with 7 gb data per day. Its arround Rs: 250 for a month.

we can use wifi hot spot or cable tethering for using mobile internet on laptop or other cell phones.
I have experienced it. that has unbelievable download speed 4.1mps.
After using first time that mobilink internet i have kicked that PTCL connention.

I recommend you all for trying it and kick out the PTCL…

  • I kick ptcl connection after 3G. I am using Telenor sim on T-P link M5250 3G router, nd share my internet with whole family,, I have avarge upto 5MB speed,, #ByePeeTCL

      • I but it from Faisalabad, Its price when i buy is 5500 but now it’s price is 5000, Its very Small modem like ur mobile phone, Its have a betry also, mean after recharge it’s betry u can keep it in ur pocket as well,, more info Google it,,,

  • The lack of certain features as shown in comparion table is mostly false as the data sharing feature is mostly embedded in newer smartphones in the form of wi-fi hotspot and can support upto 8 devices at once. while you can get 30GB of data from mobilink at Rs.240 which is much economical than Rs 2500!!.

  • With the presence of 3G and 4G, PTCL EVO procucts are now considered flop. The real speed of this 4ji is even slower then 3G on 98% locations, and still they’re claiming ultra fast up2 36mb speed. huh.

  • Talk about yourself.
    Fastest internet ‘check’
    Upto 10 devices connectivity ‘check’
    Backed with 9.3 Mbps ‘check’

If you think price is the problem, have fun with 1Mbps. :)

    • If one want to enjoy speed, then price would not be a problem.Charji device is good to have speed on the work!

    • PTCL wingle Cotton Rate. only 48k
Wholesale rate . cotton rate only 48k.

Original Price of PTCL wingle in Office is 2000 Rs.

      CALL/SMS/whatsapp 0308-7210438.

Zong telenor jazz warid charji ptcl also available mifi/wingle/cloud. lock.unlock.

  • Peak service data rate of up to 18-36Mbps Download & 7-14Mbps on uploads (Depending on network capability and environment)

    Seriously?? you have missed 0. before speed. It’s 0.18-0.36Mbps download & 0.07-0.14Mbps

  • 3.1 mbps gave 256 kbps…36 mbps will offer a Shit…happy with telenor 3G weekly bundles all time connected using social media.emails and infotainment etc…gave a shit to ptcl…

  • Sorry PTCL. I can’t trust you again. I trusted you once with Nitro 9.3 (FUP 100GB), then I trusted you with Wingle 9.3 (FUP 75GB).. Who knows you might reduce the FUP of 100GB to 10GB within a few months and still keep charging me PKR 6,000.. And anyways, PKR 6,000 for a pathetic device with ”very limited” coverage is absolutely rubbish – even if it’s cheaper than all other 3G services out there, as PTCL have no credibility or reliability left after earlier disasters…

  • Don’t waste your money..! Don’t waste your money..! Don’t waste your money..!
Money you earn is not through easy wayz, and if youreally think that you have got extra money which you could waste, buy Chaargi EVDO and experience the tremendous 0.2Mbps internet at all times and just for once in a month for 5 Minutes 16Mbps flawless speed with PTCL EVDO Chargi :)

  • how they hav labeled devices on internt G as 1 . all smart phones come with option of creating hotspot and u xan connect upto 10 devices pr min 5.
mobile comapnies r ofering 50gb package with a month validity for rs 1000.
for char g first buy device then package 5k expense.

  • I am using evo wingle 9.3 Mbps and getting 2 Mbps. So If i move to charji, how much speed i am going to get any idea ?

  • Did you Try PTCL? Well, as on Evo it is good as other crappy networks. Witribe was just with snail speed.

  • thats useless for unlimited because if i download 500gb/month then it will cost rs.250000,so its better to put in a trash and never use 4g again for the sake of crappy service

    • Downloading 500 GB/month is ridiculous. If your business is requiring such gigantic downloads per months, then don’t expect to pay Rs.1800 for it and you should either pay Rs. 250000. These packages are for home users.

    • 3G and 4G offered by PTCL is better to use..Didn’t you see Zong and Warid that operates with crappy speed that is hard to browse even…

    • But really like the commercial idea, the concept is good and representing the current needs of internet users.

    • Yaar PTCL is our National company kuch tau khial karo. Can you imagine your internet life without PTCL. There shall be almost no good internet in Pakistan, there will be only witribe and wateen pathtic speeds, hahaha. mind it.

      • ptcl WAS our national company aap k wazir e azam na 1 ruppy main bachi thi…

  • Come on PTCL dont you just focus on broadband and make it better n better instead of wasting resources on product like these.. I think BB now just totally sucks only because of some dumb people leading PTCL in this way..

    • agr ksi commercial k lye model chaiye to hum bhi pary hai raaho main..

  • Whats the point of having 36 mbps when your data is limited to 20GB. you can probably use that in a single day with that speed

  • Guys, should I buy ptcl evo wingle 9.3 instead of buying 3G/4G USB dongle. I don’t do much downloading. Does anyone know here about its service and value? Anyone can tell me about it?
    Thanks in advance…

    • Buy router with 3G/4G sim support and you will get almost 200GB from different packages in Rs. 800 with minimum 1MB downloading speed. PTCL is crap waste of money, waste of time…

  • I bought tplink device after two days the device didnt able to detect the sim card.. its model is ma 260

  • i have used ufone 3g and telenor 3g so far, neither begin to compare to charji in speed tests and neither provide proper monthly volumes. on top of it they drain the phone battery and even more if you turn phone into hotspot. charji is perfect as chalta phirta hotspot, i have the new cloud and it is giving awesome speed

  • the limit allotted is too less. If i was to pay 2500 for chrome and download a single game, that game is minimum of 28gb these days, all the limit will be finished in a week. and so called unlimited has 100GB limit and 6000/- per month? :O

  • I bought this device today and it’s speed i never experienced before ….just one question. …can it be used outside of Pakistan also like ufone sim? Data roaming is available,?

    • bhai ap ko pata nahe you cant use cdma so easily like a gsm? you cant just pop an another sim and continue to use the network..

  • Boss koi mje ye bta skta hae kae 4g jo device hae 3 month unlimited hae ya nai ab

  • Anyone from Islamabad have some experience with CharJi-B Cloud? I’ve heard it would be at least 5-7mbps in worst cases and may go upto 30MBps… Is that correct?

  • i hope that this would not fail like EVO 3g wingle which claimed to give the hyper speed of 9mpb/s. but in reality that hyper speed was never seen. will charji be able provide the speed that PTCL claims. i hope not.!!

  • Well i am regretting the moments i thought about this crap its been just a week wasted 5500 and what i am getting is shit. they show 4G LTE but what i am getting is even worse then 2G. Anyone of you intrested in this shit kindly contact me i got charji cloud with monthly unlimited pacage i got it of 5500 will sale at 4500 if you contact now (but my humble request not to buy this shit)
    Rawalpindi

  • I m trying to activate my charji, but no one responding at 080000789… Is this 24/7 Service???

        • getting 22 on local server and 10 on California server. But I am still not so happy about it , my friends in China get 50 for local there. :( .I do think via LTE ptcl can go way beyond this speed….

  • it is now 3k at ptcl shops. But bro it is nt just about charji thing everything ptcl does goes bad easily. How much speed r u gettin?

  • what about PTCL Charji Huawei E5377u-872
Unlocked For ZONG 4G WARID LTE and all 3G network as well.
Moreover you can enjoy now 300GB monthly charji package only in 2000
whereas ZONG is providing 200GB in 6000 Rs monthly
    A huge Difference
