We have seen curved monitors, super-widescreen monitors and game-friendly monitors but Acer’s 34-inch XR341CK QHD monitor brings all three types into a single display. The new gaming monitor has a curved, 21:9 aspect ratio and AMD’s FreeSync technology. It comes with a zero frame design as well.
Gamers usually utilize multiple monitors to extend their field of view but this is solved by using just one monitor with a very widescreen display i.e. with 21:9 aspect ratio. This will enable enthusiasts to enjoy much better and deeper immersion while playing games or even when they watch movies.
The zero frame design means minimal bezels
The monitor has a sleek design with minimal bezels at three of its sides and it’s labelled as a zero frame design by Acer. The slim design along with a curved super-widescreen display means there is little distraction while viewing anything on the monitor providing blind-spot free gameplay.
As an added feature, gamers can still choose to use multiple monitors thus getting a daisy chained setup with an even wider and broader view and the slim bezels means viewer won’t notice the bezels in between the multi-monitor setup.
AMD FreeSync comes built-in with the display which means that refresh rate will be controlled by the GPU thus, there will be no graphics tearing or stuttering. Even mouse latency is compensated to provide smooth gameplay at any fixed or varying framerate.
The monitor has an ultra-high QHD screen resolution at 3440×1440 at 75Hz meaning crisp and sharp picture quality. The display is IPS which means accurate colors for up to 172 degrees horizontally and 178 degrees vertically.

The XR341CK comes with 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio with up to 300 nits of brightness. The monitor has a DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 hub.
