Transpay Holds Freelancers Meetup in Lahore

Transpay, in an effort to bolster the freelancer community in Pakistan, recently held a Freelancers meetup ‘Creating a Great Digital Presence’ on 1st May at The Royal Palm Golf & Country Club, Lahore. Propakistani.pk was the official media partner.

It was an evening packed with information, networking, knowledge and great food. The event was attended by successful freelancers, contributing towards the empowerment and improvement of the economy of Pakistan. Freelancers from different platforms like Upwork, Fiverr and Freelancer.com were engaged in an interactive meetup. All three speakers were people who, in their respective niches had established online businesses and a great clientele.  The event was hosted by Transpay’s Country Manager, Mohsin Muzaffer.

Mohsin gave a talk on how Transpay is helping Pakistani freelancers to overcome the cross border payment hassles. He also discussed how Transpay’s direct banking network has improved the money transfer time, has offered better exchange rates and a great customer experience. Mohsin also highlighted Transpay’s current network of services that is serving in more than 120 countries with more than 200,000 payment pickup points. He also shared a survey to support a payment study for Pakistani freelancers.

Ahmad Hayat, founder of Softception – a digital media agency, talked about the importance of digital presence, how to improve it and generate more business through unconventional yet effective channels. He shared his own case study how he won mainstream clients through Facebook and never looked back. Ahmad also shared key tips on how freelancers can excel more in their niches by creating a well thought out digital plan.

Usman Latif, founder of Digital Marketing Pakistan, held an interactive session to effectively discuss the process to generate more business through digital media. He discussed the four steps of converting a stranger into a promoter by following stranger->visitor->lead->customer->promoter. Usman also discussed case studies to help freelancers understand how they can expand their current clientele by having a strong and a well thought out process. Usman also discussed inbound marketing strategies and why they are important.

Usama Arshad, an inspiring Fiverr Top Rated Seller and a young success story also gave an engaging talk. Usama discussed his own case study and how freelancers can manage themselves better by using some online tools. Usama’s presentation included tools’ screenshots and tips on the usage. He also discussed some case studies to establish a digital foot print and get repeat business.

At the end, Mohsin distributed shields among the speakers before everybody gathered around the stage to have group photos.

This was followed by the networking over a delightful hi-tea and taking selfies in a selfie corner. Attendees got Transpay shirts before the event ended.
