Honda Profits Grow by 72% to Over Rs. 6 Billion

Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited posted a handsome growth of 72.5 percent in the first quarter of 2017 thanks to the high-end and high demanded brands—Honda City and Honda Civic.

According to the financial results, the company posted a profit of Rs. 6.13 billion in the period of March 2016 to March 2017 against Rs. 3.55 billion recorded in the similar period of last calendar year, showing a whopping difference of Rs. 2.57 billion.

The growth in the profitability is in line with expectation as sales of the two flagship cars by Honda Atlas picked up tremendously, especially Honda Civic which was in high demand since its launch in 2016.

The company declared final dividends of Rs.13 per share. Its share price stands at Rs. 42.92 by end of March 2017 which grew from Rs.24.90.
