The justice system in Pakistan works in strange ways. You can get arrested and jailed for three months for eating in public during Ramzan. On the other hand, one can get away with brutally stabbing someone in broad daylight – not just once but 23 times.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) recently acquitted Shah Hussain accused in the stabbing of a 24-year-old law student Khadija Siddiqui. The judicial magistrate, previously, sentenced Shah Hussain to 7 years in jail last year after finding him guilty of the stabbing. Shah Hussain went to a sessions court against the decision which reduced his sentencing to 5 years.
The accused, or should we say the culprit, then filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court against the sentencing. The LHC, after hearing the arguments from both sides, acquitted the accused of all charges.
The messages in support of Khadija Siddiqui started pouring in right after the court’s decision. Many celebrities came forward as well following the #JusticeForKhadija trend on Twitter.
Let’s take a look at how the social media reacted to Shah Hussain’s acquittal.
Shah Hussain, who was found guilty last year of brutally stabbing @khadeeeej751 23 times, has just been acquitted by the Lahore High Court. Shameful day for Pakistan. Khadija’s lawyer also had a message for the public.
Khadija right now. All pumped to fight the next battle. Supreme Court we are coming.
Shah hussain the butcher no mafia can stop us. This is mafia vs the weak vulnerable people of the society. Decision was shocking today #WeareWithKhadija #JusticeForKhadija pic.twitter.com/XTGSZpl0F9

Attacker of #KhadijaSiddiqi who stabbed her 24 times has been acquitted by Lahore High Court. Is this what our justice system has come down to. First under CJP Nisar's general order security was withdrawn from @khadeeeej751 and now her attacker has been set free. Shame pic.twitter.com/L4lAzlVacz

Shah Hussain who should have been booked for attempted murder and serve a life sentence is out in less than a year.
Today, a huge, huge injustice has been done to 23-year-old Khadija Siddiqi, and there must be united condemnation of that from media and people.

The DNA report in the stabbing case of Khadija Siddiqui was states that the blood found on the helmet of Shah Hussain belongs to the victim. Hair samples also found in the helmet belong to the accused. https://t.co/0JxLN3DVmW #WeAreWithKhadija #JusticeForKhadija

High court decision in #KhadijaSiddiqi Case is ridiculous. It’s outright biased/unfair verdict. Is stabbing someone 23 times not enough to amount for a punishment or is it power over justice ? #KhadijaSiddiqiCase #westandwithKhadija

A seven-year sentence for attempted murder – reduced to five years – reduced to nothing. This is how we value a woman seeking justice with proof (multiple eye-witnesses, DNA match) – the message is loud and clear. She is reduced to nothing. #JusticeForKhadija

When this horrific crime occurred Khadija was apprehensive that justice was not going to be served, she was stabbed over 20 times and today her attacker has been acquitted!! Justice has failed her and we need to speak up ! #JusticeforKhadija https://t.co/IVLdVsSPmQ

And if it is the game of power, then so be it. Because there is nothing more powerful than when people come together united for a cause against those in power. We are with you @khadeeeej751 #justiceforkhadija

Khadija Siddiqui was attacked by her class fellow Shah Hussain, on May 3, 2016, near Shimla Hill. She had gone to pick up her younger sister from school. The accused came on a bike, wearing a helmet, and left Khadija critically injured after stabbing her 23 times.
As usual Judge bik gya ya blackmail ho gya…
be gunahon ko 19 19 saal qaid ki saza detey hen . gunah garon ko chor detey hen. high courts ke judges 85 percent sifarshi aur qanoon ko nahi jantey. just 15 percent judges knows law and constitution of Pakistan. aisi soorat me ye 15 percent judges bhi apney bahtreen kaam ke bawajood nazar nahi atey. agar yahan insaf ki soorat haal yahi rahi to lack of justice is muashrey ko tabah kar de ga
This is pretty common. Judicial system is a joke here. Any upper court will always give relaxation to the criminals.
Megistrate – 7 years
Session Court – 5 years
High Court – Not guilty
If the accused go to supreme court, most likely this lady will be given life sentence instead along with all the charges to be paid to the accused for legal fees.
jab supreme court jaiy gi aur case lagey to is khatoon ke bachey hi pesh hongey court me ya phir is ke parents . dair se diye gaiy insaf ki koi auqat he na koi value.we can say this will number game. insaf ka janaza to wesey hi LHC ne utha diya he
FAisla kiya aaya adalat se? yeah bhi to btao?
