what the hell is this???????????????? is UAE not an international state? why every mobile campany and landline is offering cheap call rates only for canada, us, u.k etc and not for middle east. when i came to know that zong has offerd this pacakage of cheap international calls my joy knew no bounds cz it was mentioned in the advertizment that select any international # and enjoy talking cheap. but when i got through zong’s web site i just got hyper that y u people are not including midle east (Dubai) in that pacakage plzzzzzzzzz do some favour to me regarding my request.

For UAE ask you friends/ family to use Gizmo soft phone and forward Gizmo URI to ipkall.com phone number (they give free US numbers) and call them at Rs.1/minute.
Or you can even talk for free using Fring (fring.com) on compatible phones listed on their website (GPRS charges may apply if you don’t have wi-fi in your home) but still it will be very cheap.
Third solution if Gizmo isn’t working is vbuzzer.com soft client or use a tele-adaptor or IP phone.

Have u tried what I mentioned here? If you had u will see that I know about “FREE” & I m talking about FREE calling. But the party u r calling in UAE should be using Internet for Gizmo or GPRS to sign into GIZMO service (available both for PC & Nokia/Smart phones free of cost for incoming and GIzmo to Gizmo calls). Fring is the same thing & runs on mobiles only & uses ur DSL (through WIFI) or GPRS.
U can get a free US number for Gizmo & UAE party will be able to receive calls on that US number on their mobile when signed in Gizmo from their cell phone.
Ask your friends and family in UAE to install fring on their GPRS/WIFI enabled mobile phone, by pointing m.fring.com on their mobile browser and create a skype id, alternatively they can install skype on the pc (and if in UAE voice calls are not enabled over skype) then go to http://www.hotspotshield.com/ and download the software in order to open the voice calls options.
