PTCL Offers EVO PCMCIA for Rs. 999

PTCL EVO, that started from Rs. 6,000 for its EVO USB devices is now offering PCMCIA cards for Rs. 999 only.

This reduction in price is only for the device; however, monthly packages are going to remain the same – which I believe should be lowered by 20 percent at least.

N0te: PCMCIA cards are compatible with laptops only having PCMCIA slots. External PCMCIA cards are also available in market – however, that will take your initial cost high as of having a USB.

Postpaid Tariff/Package Details:

Package 1 (For subscribers having PTCL Landline)
Option 1:         USB Device     Rs. 3,999 (upfront)
Option 2:         PCMCIA Card Rs. 999 (upfront)

Package 2 (For subscribers NOT having PTCL Landline)
Option 1 :        USB Device     Rs. 3,999 (upfront)
Option 2:         PCMCIA Card Rs. 999 (upfront)

Service Charges

Monthly Service Charges: Rs. 2,000 (Payable through PTCL Landline Bill)
EVO LITE: Rs.1200 – 50 hours*  or 3000 minutes – 30 days validity  *    Rs.21/additional hour
DAY PASS: Rs.100/day – Valid for 24 consecutive hours

  • I heard that pci express cards make trouble with laptop by over heating laptop if used for long duration like 6 or more hours, so it doesn’t seems to be that good for me atleast.

    I am very satisfied with it ..

    I do agree packages are still very expensive

  • I am agree with you that rates are at higher side. PTCL should reduce its rates to get more users.

  • I am using PTCL EVO since past two months and quite satisfied with its performance, however they suddenly lost coverage at I.I. Chundrigar road Karachi, somehow. Anyways, i have also tested Wi-tribe and found at par with PTCL EVO (though both the technologies are different, PTCL is on CDMA while wi-tribe is WiMax).

    I agree with all of you that PTCL EVO & its package price should be decreased for convenience of their customers.

    • if wi tribe was on par with evo then it means wi tribe is much better than evo as wi tribe is offering 1 mbps max.

  • my cousin thought to buy evo few weeks back so he took mine for a try and he got no signels there. or below 20%. PTCL should resolve the signel problem first as they are still failed to resolve the same issue for poor v-wireless users, and if we talk about broadband, it was a time when i was suggesting every one for broadband but now poor service with dum technical staff. overall PTCL brings new things but backend services or after sale services just a crap.

  • All of these plans are rip off. choice is among lesser eveils. these thugs are
    charging at the rate what is charges in teh USA and Europe, if not higher, and
    service si pathetic and effetive bandwith is only a small fraction of what they
    get there. Remember we are paying higher than USA/Euprope consumers. No execues.
    and no comparisons with 1200bps modes. People grow up and fight. did any one
    compalin? to any of your service provider? did you call customer service? did you
    ask to talk to a supervisor? and did it again and agian? or are all of us got amune
    to be abused?
