Nokia to Partner with Ufone for N9 Launch

Ufone_Nokia_N9Nokia has once again partnered with Ufone to officially launch it’s flagship device N9 in Pakistan, tells us industry sources and confirmed by a print ad published today in various newspapers.

Ufone had previously partnered with Nokia for the launch of N8 too, which, according to sources, got reasonable response.

Nokia will primarily seek more reach for N9 through Ufone, however, with a price tag of Rs. 50,000 or around and, this MeeGo powered smartphone is likely to face tough time in presence of Android and Mango powered HTC and Samsung phones.

Ufone, on other hands, has introduced a special tariff plan for its postpaid customer to promote Nokia N9.

Initial details suggest that Ufone will offer 50 paisa per minute calls for Nokia N9 Plan holders. However, it isn’t clear that this rate will be for on-net calls only or not. Since, this will be a postpay plan so one should expect monthly line rent as well.

We are expecting more details on this during a launch event for media and bloggers on Monday in Karachi.

Meanwhile, you can head to more details on Nokia N9 here.
