Zong Increases Helpline Charges

Zong_ChargesZong has announced to increase call charges for helpline calls from September 21st, 2012.

After the said date all calls made to helpline number (310) will be charged at Rs. 2.38 (including taxes) per call.

A note published on Zong website reads:

Dear customer! To enhance your experience of accessing our services, charges for calling our helpline 310 are being revised to Rs. 2+tax per call from 21st September 2012.

Mobile phone subscribers say that despite all the claims made by cellular companies for enhancing user experience, calls made to helpline numbers remain on hold for around 10 minutes or above even when calls are charged for Rs. 2 plus taxes.

This is true for almost all operators, except for those with postpaid subscription plans.

Other operators are already charging Rs. 2 plus tax (or Rs. 2.38 including taxes) for helpline calls.

In a related news, Zong’s UAN for helpline, i.e. 111-222-111, doesn’t work. Users who want to call Zong helpline are confined to call from Zong numbers by dialing 310, leaving no option for users to call helpline from other networks.

  • They don’t improve anything. They just want more extra money for free.

After increasing those balance, delivery reports, call centre, ringback tones, maintenance etc charges what our cellular networks have improved?

Same old low quality internet speeds
Hours to days SMS messages and delivery reports delivery
    Signal problems
Call centre busy or making weird noises on first few tries
Call centre representative reaching in 5 minutes to 45 minutes
Pay call charges and sometimes you hear “sorry system is offline, please call after few hours”
    Ringback tones distortion
credit recharging network busy, recharging after 1 hours to 4 hours then recharge sms notification arriving next day
Zong have blocked MMS to email delivery, asking customers to pay for zong picture service for phone to email multimedia messaging
MMS delivery not reliable in all networks
Basic telephone services for prepaid not available (voice mail, delivery reports, free balance checking, free call centre)
EDGE internet available only in main cities and roads

  • Well to all the highly informed people here, for your kind information Ufone and Warid are already at Rs2.38 since almost 18 months and Mobilink and Telenor charge Rs3.85 for helpline and they also charge IVR. Whereas ZOng’s IVR is free.
So all you who are not properly informed or working on some agenda against zong, please update yourself first before polluting people’s thoughts
