Mobilink said that steady growth in revenues is due to service suspension at two major occasions by the government. Furthermore, revenues were impacted by monsoon and floods in the southern and central regions.
Mobilink did well in shrinking expenditures, which remained Rs. 29 billion during the reported duration, down from Rs. 55 billion in same quarter for previous year.
Mobilink’s EBITDA grew by 10% YoY in local currency terms, mostly on account of growing revenue and ongoing cost control measures, including lower customer acquisition and retention costs
Mobilink’s subscriber base reached 36.1 million as at the end of 3Q12, with 8 % YoY growth rate.
Company’s ARPU declined by 2 percent to Rs. 231 at end of Q3 2012, down from Rs. 236 during the same period last year.
