Huawei Ascend Y300, which was first shown at a tech fair in Rio de Janeiro last year, is launched in Pakistan today. This lower mid range smartphone runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and has 4″ Screen with a WVGA resolution and 240 DPI pixel density. The phone is powered by a Dual-Core 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and 1730 mAh battery.
Huawei Ascend Y300 has two Cameras, the main Camera is 5MP with Auto-focus and LED flashlight, where as the secondary Camera is 0.3 MP. The phone runs Huawei Proprietary User Interface Emotion UI on top of Android.
Pricing and Availability:
This phone is launched exclusively for a price of Rs. 13,000 and is available all over Pakistan. Huawei Pakistan’s Director Terminal, while speaking with ProPakistani, said that their aim is to bring more and more quality products for Pakistani consumer at affordable prices.
When asked about the future updates of OS, he replied that company is committed to provide latest OS to the consumers but sometimes due to the limitations of hardware it is not possible to release an updated firmware.
First Impression:
The build quality of this phone is very good and the screen shows vivid images and sharp text but I am more concerned about the Battery life and how well the 512MB of RAM will perform. We will publish a detailed review of this product very soon so stay tuned.
Pro Pakistan you have mentioned that ascend y300 is around 13.000 means around 130$
but why in Brazil sold in 250$

Interesting but one small feature that has to be must included “dual SIM” and they can easily beat Qmobile as i am using A6.
According to Huawei, their competitor is Samsung not Qmobile :)

last night i bought Y300 outclass smartphone playing temple run subway surface running smooth you all must go with it in this price range. just read Huawei is now the third largest smartphone seller in the world behind samsung and iphone
using y300 marvelous mobile to use front camera result is awesome for skype video calling highly recommended ::up Huwaei now is number 1 telco company in the world and qmobile is only in pakistan :P we cannot campair Huawei will qmobile

and plaease can you tell wether its supports wifi n or not. I am a little concered about the camera beacuse i read somewhere that the shutter lag is way too much which leads to bad pics, please clarify that.
