Microsoft Pakistan, under its Corporate Citizenship program for empowering youth and serving society, gave a USD 295,000 software donation and latest technology access to AMAN Foundation; a local not for profit organization.

AMAN Foundation is working to champion dignity and choice through strategic interventions which are designed to be scalable, sustainable and capable of catalyzing systemic change for the underserved of Pakistan in the areas of health and education.

The Microsoft Corporate Citizenship program is designed to support non-profit organizations by giving affordable access to technology required in helping local communities and to help them to be efficient, effective and innovative in serving society.

Microsoft grant will support AMAN Foundation in its programs to work proactively for the cause of human development.

The donation will assist the Foundation to technologically update its nutrition, education and healthcare programs including vocational training centers, Emergency Medical response (Aman Ambulances) and community health development.

Speaking on the occasion, Amir Rao, Country Manager, Microsoft Pakistan said, “Microsoft is proud to work with more than 50,000 nonprofits around the world every year to provide them easy and affordable access to technology. Empowering youth and building a healthy and active society is one of our major goals. We spent USD 1 million last year in Pakistan for supporting not for profit, and this grant to AMAN is another step in building a strong, empowered and self-dependent society.”

Through the Microsoft Software Donation Program, eligible organizations can receive software donations to enhance social services and build a solid platform for constructing a self-dependent society.

Ahsan Jamil, CEO AMAN Foundation said, “We believe Microsoft’s corporate social responsibility program is thoughtful and strategic as they are leveraging their technology to add disproportionate value to an organization like ours. This grant will help us upgrade our technological infrastructure to serve communities more efficiently and innovatively.”

“Aman and Microsoft’s partnership goes beyond just this giving, as we both can galvanize each other’s support which will help accelerate a bigger impact.”
