Former Pakistan Captain Joins Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League

Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has joined the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League (KCL) as its League Commissioner ahead of the tournament’s official launch.

In the role, Younis will oversee cricket operations, tournament rules and regulations, technical matters, competition structure, and other cricket-related affairs. His appointment is aimed at ensuring that the league is conducted in accordance with professional and international standards.

Younis is the second major former Pakistan captain to become associated with the competition. Shahid Khan Afridi was earlier appointed as the league’s Brand Ambassador.

The KCL is also expected to feature several current and former Pakistan international cricketers.

The league’s grand launch ceremony will be held on July 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.

Organizers are expected to unveil the official tournament schedule, upcoming activities, talent hunt program, and several other major announcements during the event.

The ceremony will be attended by the Chief Minister and Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, senior government officials, investors, representatives of the business and corporate sectors, media personnel, and former and current Pakistan international cricketers.

Other prominent personalities from different walks of life are also expected to attend.

The launch will also include a live concert featuring Pakistani singer Aima Baig and Pashto music star Rahim Shah, combining cricket with music, culture, and entertainment.
